(With the exception of stop words such as the, a, an, etc. ) It just depends how relevant google’s algorithm thinks your keyword is to the topic. If you write a post about red cars and then mention a funny story where the words “funny looking old man” come up, you could end up getting hits from searchers typing in “funny looking old man”. But only if no other page is more relevant.

I have an SEO job opportunity with a company that has 6 sites. One is the main company site that has links to the other 5 separate company product specific websites. This client would like a re-design on all sites to make the design cohesive across all properties. My question is should I; with the redesign also suggest that all 6 sites be consolidated to the single parent company site? Or is it better for SEO to keep all sites separate? Thanks. Today I found out that… It is not a easy decision Is that 5 product stand alone product? Do they related to each other? Are you in the same niche? There are benefit for putting everything in one domain if the product are similar However if the 5 product is totally unrelated it is better to have their own site because all those different link might confuse the search engine
